At MADIS we transform the way television is made and experienced.
Imagine you're in the audience of a television studio. The lights dim, a huge blue ribbon illuminates above your head, and for a second, you can't tell where the ceiling ends and the stage begins. That little tingle in your stomach has a name: Vertigo , the new set design for the Channel 13 primetime show.

“Vertigo isn’t an image, it’s a feeling,” explains Marcelo Rojas , a set designer specializing in television and large-scale productions, responsible for the design and implementation of this concept. “The idea was to convey that sensation of spinning, depth, and momentary loss of orientation that we’ve all experienced at some point.” The design took the form of a spiral that winds through the studio, envelops the audience, and directs their gaze toward the center of the stage.
How do you ensure that this sense of movement doesn't confuse the viewer? The key lies in the balance between movement and stillness. The spiral dominates the edges of the studio, while the center remains visually clear. It's like the eye of a hurricane, where everything seems to spin around, yet the eye finds a place of rest. This balance also allows the hosts and their guests to remain the focus without visually competing with the set design.
Technology completes the experience. LED screens, integrated lighting, and visual content are part of the design from the outset. They aren't simply elements added to the stage, but tools that allow the space to be transformed and given different atmospheres. Thus, with a change in lighting or content, the star can transition from an intimate conversation to a large-scale live musical performance without losing their visual identity and maintaining a recognizable image from different camera angles.
With Vértigo, the flagship program on Canal 13 boasts a unique set design, crafted to transform each episode into a visual experience. At MADIS, we reaffirm an idea that guides our work: the best sets aren't just seen, they're experienced.
